NAVA NARASIMHAR SET

The Nava Narasimhar are the nine sacred forms of Lord Narasimha worshipped at the famous Ahobilam temple complex. Each form represents a unique aspect of the Lord’s divine qualities.

1. Jwala Narasimha – The fierce form that slew Hiranyakashipu.
2. Ahobila Narasimha (Ugra Narasimha) – The powerful and majestic form embodying divine valor.
3. Malola Narasimha – Narasimha with Goddess Lakshmi, symbolizing love, grace, and compassion.
4. Kroda (Varaha) Narasimha – The boar-faced form representing protection and strength.
5. Karanja Narasimha – Worshipped under a Karanja tree, symbolizing refuge and devotion.
6. Bhargava Narasimha – Associated with Sage Parashurama (Bhargava), representing penance and righteousness.
7. Yogananda Narasimha – The meditative form who taught Prahlada the path of yoga and devotion.
8. Chatravata Narasimha – Worshipped beneath a sacred banyan tree, associated with music, devotion, and divine bliss.
9. Pavana Narasimha – The purifier who grants peace, protection, and liberation from sins.
