ANDAL THIRUMANJANAM SET

The Andal Thirumanjanam Set beautifully captures the sacred ritual of Thirumanjanam (Abhishekam) performed for Sri Andal, the only female Alvar saint and one of the most beloved devotees of Lord Vishnu. Born in Srivilliputhur, Andal is revered for her unwavering devotion, expressed through the Tiruppavai and Nachiyar Tirumozhi. According to tradition, she lovingly adorned herself with the flower garlands prepared for Lord Ranganatha before they were offered at the temple. When her father, Periyalvar, discovered this, Lord Vishnu appeared in a dream and declared that He preferred the garlands worn by Andal, recognizing her pure and selfless devotion. Andal was later united with Lord Ranganatha in a divine celestial marriage, becoming an eternal symbol of bhakti and surrender.
